Online Museum

A project carried out by David Cachia Enriquez, Jan Formosa and Matthew Kenely as part of their ICS2000 Group Assigned Practical Task at the University of Malta

How it Works

Photogrammetry is a process that involves capturing a series of overlapping photographs of an object or scene from different angles, processing these images using specialized software to create a 3D point cloud or mesh that represents the object in 3D space, refining the model to ensure accuracy, and finally outputting a detailed 3D model or a set of measurements.

The Museum

We used a digital camera to take hundreds of photographs of the exhibits at the National War Museum in Fort St. Elmo from all angles. Presented in this project are 7 artefacts from the museum in 3D form (as well as a bonus 3D model), and short descriptions of these artefacts.
